2013 WEAR YOUR DRESS FOR THE DAY2013 Registration OPEN - Register Today Celebration Events See participation options click here. What is Brides on the Loose for a Cause? It's a girls night with a heart. Brides on the Loose has three key components... FUNDRAISING, AWARENESS & CELEBRATION.
Would you wear your wedding dress grocery shopping? Picture brides on the loose in your town or community. Married, unmarried...it doesn't matter. The only stipulation is participants must wear a wedding gown, their own, a friends...or maybe a second hand dress. In the name of charity it doesn't get more fun or unique. Participants will collect pledges to wear their dress for A DAY. The week prior to the celebration, (aka girls night out) each participant will be required to pick one day to wear their dress for a minimum of four hours. Participants will go to work, grocery shop, grab their favourite coffee, maybe go to the movies...really it's up to each bride. Of course we hope each bride will make at least three public stops that day, creating awareness everywhere they go. The WEAR YOUR DRESS FOR THE DAY will be followed by a celebration, best know as a girls night out. All celebration events include overnight accommodation, booking two or four to a room. Encourage your friends to join you...they won't regret it! The culmination of fun and fundraising is what drew participants, community support and media coverage to the first ever Brides on the Loose event. The overwhelming success of the event lead organizer Kim Mannerow to the conclusion this event simply MUST continue and GROW! Planning is now underway for the 3rd annual event, with a participation goal of over 200 brides Ontario wide.

Registration Fees -Registration fees are used to cover event costs, including hard costs, insurance, administration & materials. Brides on the Loose is not a registered charity, but rather a small business that aids in fundraising for charitable organizations, like our three year partner the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. We operate like a not-for-profit, however due to our extremely low budget we cannot actually afford not-for-profit status, or the fees that go along with such status. In this case it means that Brides on the Loose relies on registration fees and sponsorships to organize the event. Because of this 100% of the fundraising monies goes directly to the charitable organization.
